Privacy policy

Connect is a service operated by Modernova Studio LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States, with its registered office at 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801-6317, United States. This policy describes the data we process when you use Connect, why we process it, and the rights available to you.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Modernova Studio LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801-6317, United States. For any question about your data: mouad@modernova.studio.
Modernova Studio LLC is established outside the European Union. Where Article 27 of the GDPR requires it, our representative in the Union is [to complete: EU representative, to be appointed].
2. Data we process
2.1 Account data
- Name, email address, hashed password (or the identifier from your sign-in provider).
- Organization name and the roles of your team members.
- Billing details, handled by our payment provider — we never store card numbers.
2.2 Data from Google Business Profile
When you connect your listing, you authorize us to access certain data from your Google Business Profile account. We only access what the service needs to function:

Reviews contain personal data published by their authors on Google (public name, review content). We process it on your behalf, as a processor, and use it for no other purpose.
2.3 Rank measurement data
To measure where you rank in local results, we query public search results through a specialized provider. We keep derived numeric facts — a position, a date, a geographic point — and not a copy of your competitors’ listing content.
2.4 Usage data
Technical logs (timestamp, action type, errors) kept for security and troubleshooting. We use no advertising cookies and carry out no cross-site tracking.
3. Limited use of Google data
Connect’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use this data solely to provide and improve the features you can see inside Connect.
- We do not sell it, transfer it, or use it for advertising purposes.
- We do not use it to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
- No human reads it, except with your explicit consent, for security reasons, to comply with the law, or when the processing is aggregated and anonymized.
4. Artificial intelligence
Connect uses language models to classify your reviews and draft suggested replies and posts. Content sent to our model provider is not used to train its models. No generated text is published to your listing without your explicit approval.
5. Legal bases
- Performance of a contract — delivering the service you subscribed to.
- Legitimate interest — security, abuse prevention, product improvement.
- Consent — connecting your Google account, and the optional inclusion of your figures in our anonymized industry benchmarks.
- Legal obligation — retention of invoices for accounting purposes.

7. Processors and international transfers
We rely on providers for hosting, database, email delivery, payments, rank measurement and language models. Each is bound by a data processing agreement. The current, named list is available on request at mouad@modernova.studio.
Modernova Studio LLC is based in the United States, and several of our providers process data there as well. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your data is therefore transferred outside your jurisdiction. Those transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, alongside the safeguards described in section 8.
8. Security
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Google access tokens encrypted at the application layer, on top of our host’s encryption.
- Strict data isolation between organizations, enforced at the database level.
- An audit trail keeping the before and after of every change made to your listing.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. Write to mouad@modernova.studio and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the country where you live or work.
10. Revoking Google access
You can disconnect your listing at any time from Connect’s settings, or revoke the authorization directly from your Google account permissions. Revoking stops all synchronization immediately. Data already synchronized is deleted within 30 days, or immediately on request.
11. Changes
We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any material change to this policy takes effect.
